  • 6 cups mixed salad greens (arugula, spinach, romaine) Use a variety for color and texture.
Main Ingredients
  • 1 log goat cheese The creamier, the better for rich flavor.
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans Toasted nuts enhance the flavors.
  • 1/4 cup honey To drizzle, adds sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar Adds acidity to balance flavors.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for enhancing all flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse and dry your salad greens thoroughly. Place them in a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the goat cheese into rounds about half an inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the slices of goat cheese on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until warmed through and slightly melting.
  2. While the cheese is baking, place the walnuts or pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast for 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
Assembly
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the dressing over the greens and toss gently to combine.
  2. Once the goat cheese is ready, place the warm cheese on top of the dressed greens using a spatula. Sprinkle toasted nuts over the top.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy the salad warm.

Notes

Choose quality cheese for a richer flavor. Experiment with different greens for variety. Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
