Preparation
- Rinse and dry your salad greens thoroughly. Place them in a large bowl and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the goat cheese into rounds about half an inch thick.
Cooking
- Arrange the slices of goat cheese on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until warmed through and slightly melting.
- While the cheese is baking, place the walnuts or pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast for 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
Assembly
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the dressing over the greens and toss gently to combine.
- Once the goat cheese is ready, place the warm cheese on top of the dressed greens using a spatula. Sprinkle toasted nuts over the top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the salad warm.
Notes
Choose quality cheese for a richer flavor. Experiment with different greens for variety. Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
