Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs until light and frothy. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, avoiding overmixing.
  5. Gently fold in the apple slices until evenly coated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve with powdered sugar or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to five days. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
