Ingredients
  

Chicken & BBQ Glaze
  • 6 pieces chicken drumsticks Choose plump, vibrant color drumsticks.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Can substitute with homemade or organic BBQ sauce.
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce Use gluten-free version if needed.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Fries
  • 1.5 lbs crinkle-cut fries Can use frozen for convenience.
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For fries.
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley For added flavor.
  • to taste Salt
Garden Salad
  • 2 cups green leaf lettuce
  • 1/2 pieces cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 pieces red onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 pieces cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or garlic aioli For dipping.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, coat the chicken drumsticks with olive oil and the spice mix.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cooking Chicken
  1. Bake the drumsticks for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and nearly cooked through.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Brush this mixture over the drumsticks and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Preparing the Sides
  1. Cook the crinkle-cut fries until golden and crispy, mixing in garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
  2. Toss together the salad ingredients in a separate bowl.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken over a bed of lettuce with fries and salad on the side.
  2. Add a cup of creamy dipping sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken overnight in the spice mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Freeze for longer storage.
