Method
Cooking the Fries
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato strips with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Cooking the Beef
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent, then stir in minced garlic. Add the beef strips and brown them on all sides.
Simmering the Sauce
- Add chopped tomato, tomato paste, paprika, chili flakes, and mixed herbs to the beef. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes.
Making the Slaw
- Combine shredded cabbage and julienned carrots in a bowl with vinegar and a pinch of salt. Toss well to coat.
Plating
- On a large plate, arrange the crispy fries, topped with the spicy beef and fresh slaw. Place a lime wedge on the side.
