Ingredients
  

For the Lamb Chops
  • 4 pieces lamb loin chops Choose pink and firm lamb for best quality.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For marinating the lamb.
  • 2 tbsp butter Used for basting the lamb.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds robust flavor.
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped Enhances the dish's flavor profile.
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves Pairs well with lamb.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
For the Roasted Potatoes
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, quartered Use small, uniform-size potatoes for even roasting.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For roasting the potatoes.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
For the Garden Salad
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 0.25 piece red onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For dressing the salad.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Adds brightness to the salad.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rub the lamb chops with olive oil, rosemary, thyme, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, toss the quartered baby potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast until golden brown.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the lamb chops for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  3. Add the butter during the last minute to baste the chops.
Making the Salad
  1. Combine the lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and red onion in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then add salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Plate the lamb chops beside a serving of roasted potatoes and garden salad.
  2. Spoon some melted herb butter over the chops before serving.

Notes

Enhance flavor by marinating the lamb overnight. Let the lamb come to room temperature before cooking for a better sear. Serve this dish with a glass of red wine or garlic bread.
