Ingredients

For the Beef Marinade
  • 1.5 lbs beef steak, cut into bite-sized cubes Aim for well-marbled cuts like ribeye or sirloin for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Can substitute with tamari for gluten-free or coconut aminos for low-sodium.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
For the Fries
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into fries Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes before frying for extra crispiness.
For the Garnish
  • 2 red chili peppers, sliced Adjust quantity for desired spiciness.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish and added freshness.
  • 2 large eggs Cook sunny-side up to maintain runny yolks.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the beef cubes with olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Ensure each piece is coated well and let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a fryer or skillet. Carefully introduce the potatoes and fry them until golden brown and crispy.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet on high. Once hot, add the marinated beef and sear it until deeply caramelized, about 3-4 minutes per side. Toss in the sliced chili peppers just before removing from heat.
  2. In a non-stick pan, crack the eggs and cook them sunny-side up until the whites are set and yolks are runny.
Assembly
  1. On a serving plate, arrange the garlic chili beef bites, crispy fries, and sunny-side eggs. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Serve with a light side salad or steamed vegetables. For drinks, iced tea or light ale pair well. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
