Ingredients

Steak and Seasoning
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cubed Look for cuts with good marbling for tenderness.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
Garlic Butter and Toppings
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic provides robust flavor.
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1 tsp dried parsley for garnish
Fries
  • 3 cups fries Can use regular or sweet potato fries.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the cubed steak with salt, black pepper, and paprika, ensuring an even coating.
Searing the Steak
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the steak cubes and sear for 3-4 minutes until beautifully browned.
  3. Avoid overcrowding the pan; sear in batches if necessary.
Adding Garlic Butter
  1. Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  2. Toss the steak gently, ensuring the butter melts and envelops the steak, being cautious not to burn the garlic.
Cooking the Fries
  1. Bake or fry the fries until golden and crispy, ensuring they are not undercooked.
Final Assembly
  1. Sprinkle grated parmesan over the fries before serving.
  2. Serve steak bites over or beside the fries, garnishing with dried parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the steak in garlic, olive oil, and herbs before cooking. This dish keeps well in the fridge for up to three days or can be frozen for two months.
