Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4-6 ounces Salmon fillets, about 4 to 6 ounces per person Choose fillets that are similar in thickness for even cooking.
  • 1/4 cup Butter, salted or unsalted Adjust salt to taste if using unsalted butter.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, fresh minced Jar garlic works in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Add optional slices for garnish.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley or dill, chopped For fresh finish.
  • to taste Paprika or chili flakes Optional for added heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Melt the butter and stir in minced garlic. If desired, add lemon juice, salt, pepper, and a pinch of paprika or chili flakes.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place on a lined baking sheet or in a baking dish.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter over the salmon, brushing it around to coat evenly. Add lemon slices on top if available.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 10 to 14 minutes, checking for doneness at 9 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  2. Check the salmon for doneness by flaking with a fork; it should look opaque and flake easily.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or dill, and spoon any buttery juices from the pan over the salmon before serving.

Notes

Keep an eye on the salmon while it cooks to prevent overcooking. Leftover salmon can be used in salads or gently reheated in the oven at low temperatures.
