For the Wrap
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 ground beef is recommended for juiciness.
  • 4 large flour tortillas Choose large tortillas that don't tear easily.
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce Provides crunch.
  • 4 slices American cheese Can substitute with pepper jack for spice.
  • 1/2 cup diced white onions Add flavor to the wraps.
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices
For the Special Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. Make the Special Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it sizzles.
  3. Season the Beef: Once browned, sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stirring well.
  4. Warm the Tortillas: Place tortillas in the microwave for about 30 seconds until warm and pliable.
  5. Assemble the Wraps: Spread a layer of special sauce on each tortilla, then layer seasoned beef, cheese, lettuce, onions, and pickles.
  6. Roll the Tortillas: Tightly roll each tortilla, tucking in the ends. Use toothpicks to secure if necessary.
  7. Toast the Wraps: Place wraps seam-side down in the skillet and toast for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
  8. Slice and Serve: Cut the toasted wraps diagonally for serving.

Notes

Store wrapped in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for a month. Reheat with a damp paper towel in the microwave.
